Reiki Classes in Houston, TX ~ with Love from Edgar Cayce!

I am thrilled to announce that I will be offering a full set of Reiki classes at the Houston, TX location of Edgar Cayce's Association for Research and Enlightenment! I am truly honored to have been selected as their new Reiki teacher for their Texas center, and will be traveling there to offer my Reiki I & II workshop weekend in November of this year, as well as offering this workshop again in Spring 2014, followed by Reiki IIIa/ART in Summer 2014, and my Reiki Master class in Fall 2014.

Rain, the Reiki of Renewal

In my ten years in Asheville, I have never seen so much rain in the summertime! It is truly amazing to see this true temperate rain forest in action. I have heard so many people wishing it away and feeling sick of it, and I do understand that sentiment, certainly. That said, I have always loved the rain.

Something about rain brings me deeply into a place of self reflection. It's as if the Earth is asking me to look inward and allow that powerful cleansing energy to penetrate through all the layers of busy, busy, busy and get right to the core.

The sound of rain is comforting to me, too... and the smell of it. I like the sound of the cars passing on the wet road, the irregular, heavier drip-drop of the water trickling over the window awnings, the rumble of thunder over the mountains.

I love the smile that pours over my face as I dash madly from my car up the driveway, through the fence, and onto my covered porch, as a heavy rain drenches me completely in the space of a few short seconds. As a child, I remember just going out and standing in the street when it would rain, letting it soak me to the bone.

Rain, rain, rain... and more rain.

To me, rain is the Reiki of renewal, that sweet cleansing energy of change. It goes deep, cleansing and clearing, pushing the dirt aside to find those sacred seeds and coax them into growth.

We are right in the middle of particularly interesting Mercury retro period, as well (It started on June 26th and goes direct on July 20th... with plenty of waves before and after those dates). All this rain, rain, rain seems quite appropriate with the current energies. Like all this rain, many spend a lot of energy dreading and bemoaning Mercury retro (yes, I have, too!). But there's one constant gift that Mercury retro brings us, and that is a chance to bring old issues and relationships to light and heal them.

Let Mother Earth Reiki your soul with all this rain... even if you are somewhere in the world where you are experiencing totally different weather patterns--it doesn't matter. The Law of Abundance rules! Healing on this patch of ground is healing for the whole; healing of this soul is healing for the whole. And so it is, on and on...

May the energy of rain go deeply into your being, finding those parched places and filling them with joyful abundance. May you appreciate each moment of the sun's warmth on your face ever more having looked so long upon the persistent beauty of deep grays and blue hues.

May your sacred seed burst forth within you and sprout into being.

This is the beginning. Welcome.
